C.R.E.E.D (Economic Resources and Education for Development Centre) in partnership with other three international organisations from Portugal, Italy and the United Kingdom is running the international Youth Exchange Volunteering for Inclusion.
This international youth exchange takes place within the project Volunteering for Inclusion! which is being implemented between 01.02.2018-31.01.2019, with financial support from the European Commission through the Erasmus Plus Programme, Key Action 1 managed in Romania by ANPCDEFP.
The youth exchange will bring together 21 young people and 4 group leaders for 10 days, on the theme of inclusion. The main activities will take place in Neamt County, Romania, and the main aim of the project is to reduce the risk of social exclusion among young people with fewer opportunities from Romania, United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal.
The specific objectives of this project are:
1. To empower 21 young people aged 15-30 years old from the 4 participating countries to volunteer within projects that have as target group vulnerable young people during the 10 days of the YE.
2. To teach 21 young people aged 15-30 years old attending the youth exchange how to approach and cooperate with vulnerable groups of people during the 10 days of the YE.
3. To collect good examples of inclusion activities/projects that can serve as inspiration for the 21 young people aged 15-30 years old participating in the project.
During the youth exchange we will organise sessions that will have theme subjects as: Best practice models of social inclusion, Methods and techniques to work with people from vulnerable groups, Youth in social centers, Think in a critical way, Community development – what it is?, What is social inclusion?, Get involved and make a change!, Give them a chance! etc.
The sessions will be based on non-formal education, the learning process of participants being an easy, creative and fun one.
The expected impact is represented by an increased awareness and knowledge on the topic of volunteering and on the topic of social inclusion among the participants, increased awareness about their active role in social inclusion, increased motivation for taking part in future (formal/non-formal) education or trainings organized within the Erasmus Plus Programme, increased knowledge on methods they can use for social inclusion projects, enhanced cultural awareness and so on among the participants at the Youth Exchange.
